Two Problems – Internal Links and External Links

    Hello! I am testing out your plugin on my business site to see if I want to use you or Yoast. I ran across an issue. It says it can’t find any internal links on the page, but there are 7. I use the Divi theme. I am not turning it off to test though, it either works with it or it doesn’t to me. Can you tell me why it can’t find simple links on my page?

    The second issue is saying it identified 2 outbound links and they are all marked NOFOLLOW. Well, I turned on that feature in your settings, but I whitelisted one and it never picks up on that. So, is the feature broken or just doesn’t work well? What could be the problem here considering I followed the guide exactly and nothing.

    I can’t see me paying for the PRO version without these basic things working, but I do like the plugin and would probably love it if it worked as described properly.

    Let me know if you have any ideas on both items and maybe it is user error and not incomplete documentation/bugs.

  • I also don’t understand how/why you force Content AI as a scoring factor in SEO. This is misleading to your users as that is not required or necessary in ranking, so it shouldn’t be a part of a scoring system it should be a suggestion.

    And…. Same thing with a Table of Contents. I have worked for Fortune 100 companies for years and we use navigation bars to accomplish this. Why would it be a part of a score and not just a suggestion. I think Rank Math is struggling to proper attribute for links and how to handle them. This all seems off in this department. The rest of it I really like, I just won’t pay for a tool that doesn’t get to 100/100 without using premium pay features (Content AI) and can’t properly see and analysis links.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    We deeply apologize for the delay in response.

    Can you please share the affected page URL with us so that we can check the issue further for you? However, Please note that our plugin will only detect links that are part of the post_content.

    Regarding the Content AI and Table of Contents tests, the Content AI is built to help users optimize posts for a specific focus keyword. You can research the focus keyword with our Content AI and it would use our proprietary algorithms to research existing articles ranking for this focus keyword to deliver your intelligent suggestions for optimal word count, media count, heading count, and link count.

    For the Table of Contents, it helps you to improve the User Experience (UX) which is one of the most important factors you need to consider while creating a post, an article, or a guide. That’s why we suggest those to use on your pages.

    However, please note the SEO score is only for your reference and doesn’t affect the actual SEO performance of your site. If you feel that the tests don’t apply for your pages then you can safely ignore them or you can add the following filter on your website to disable these specific tests:

    add_filter('rank_math/researches/tests', function ($tests, $type) {
    	unset(
    		$tests['contentHasTOC'],
    		$tests['hasContentAI']
    	);
    	return $tests;
    }, 10, 2);

    Here’s how you can add filter/hook to your WordPress site: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

    Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
