  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue with your Twitter link previews not showing as “Summary Cards with Large Image” as expected. I understand the importance of having engaging previews on social media.

To ensure that your Twitter link previews display as “Summary Cards with Large Image,” please follow these steps:

    1. Check the image dimensions: Twitter expects an image with an aspect ratio of 2:1 with minimum dimensions of 300 pixels wide by 157 pixels tall and maximum dimensions of 4096 pixels wide and 4096 pixels tall. The image must also be less than 5 MB in size.

    2. Verify the settings in Rank Math: Make sure that you have selected the “Summary Card with Large Image” option in the Rank Math settings for Twitter Card Type.

    3. Double-check the image you are using: Ensure that the image you are using meets the recommended dimensions and format (jpeg, png, or gif).

If after verifying these settings, the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Hello,

We’ve checked the image you’re using, and its resolution is too big (1920 x 960).

Please ensure that the image you’re using is as close as 1200 x 630 pixels, and the image file format you are using is only between jpeg, gif, or png as per Opengraph Standards:

Ocne done, clear your website’s cache and check again the page.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Hello, I did all that was requested and now it shows the featured image (instead of the Twitter card image).

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

In the Social tab, you are not using the same configuration as your Opengraph so the Twitter settings are using the featured image instead. See screenshot below:

We have gone ahead and enabled the option to use the same settings from your Opengraph and the twitter image is now correct.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

This is what I see from my end if I try to compose a post on Twitter/X using a non-cached URL:

In this case, you’ll just have to clear your website and browser cache and try it again.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

The issue isn’t with your PC, but Twitter had cached the previous image, and it will keep the cache for some time. There is currently no way to force Twitter to update its cache.

The only workaround is to post your tweet using a modified URL that renders the same page, i.e. you could remove the trailing slash at the end of the URL and that should force Twitter to reflect the image for that new URL, when you use the normal URL it will still keep displaying the cached image until the cache expires.

We hope this helps clarify the issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
