transfer from yoast to rank math, loss of positioning?

  • Hi, about 1 month ago I made the transition from yoast seo to rank math to an ecommerce site that I am updating, I do not understand if moving from yoast seo to rank has lost positioning or indication of my products since comparing them on the main site (still in function) to this new the same products that result with “good readability” and seo “ok” on rank math have a value of 10/100, how can I understand correctly?

  • Hi Sergio,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

The score is there only for your reference and doesn’t affect your actual rankings. Treat it only as a to-do list, nothing more. Don’t try to live by it and don’t follow the tests religiously.

With that said, switching SEO plugins doesn’t cause a drop.

There was a huge Google update on 13th Jan that might have caused the drop. If you can share your website URL, I would love to take a closer look.

Also, I highly recommend going through the following guide to set up the plugin completely and correctly:

    and

I hope that helps. Please let me know if there’s anything I can help you with.

I think I made the transition without problems, but considering this difference between yoast and rank math I wanted some safety all here πŸ™‚

also I wanted to understand, the seo of a product is essentially from the title of the product itself and from the description, is it correct?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Yes, that should be about it. Focus keywords are also accounted in the SEO.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if there’s anything I can help you with.
