Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
If you feel comfortable using multiple H1 tags due to the feature you have explained about devices, then you can ignore the error message.
But, we are still going to run that test in the SEO Analyzer tool because we have every reason to believe that the correct way to set up any page is with a single H1 tag.
In terms of SEO, it’s likely that this won’t cause any issues, but your page will not have semantic HTML if you have more than one H1 tag.
Here’s a helpful article you can check for that:

Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hi Reinelle, what I would like to know is if this can be fixed on my end, the extra H1 tag as I said should not be registered (or so I think) outside of the selected device, the H1 tag was duplicated as a workaround to fix a responsive issue. I have inspected the page and a section is greyed out, even if that section is set to not be displayed it is still being checked by Google (for example) and may be harmful to the website SEO?

Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
The link you have shared is no longer accessible.
However, it is always recommended to have a single H1 tag, but multiple H1 doesn’t hurt your ranking. Google algorithms are too smart these days, and it was also discussed in this video:

Moreover, you may get in touch with your theme provider if there’s any way they can do that for different devices without hiding the H1 tag.
Looking forward to helping you.
