Titles & Meta -> single post title | headline

I have a question regarding the single post title and headline in your plugin. So, for instance, I want to change the template of a Single post title and add my own unique word: %title% Top 20 %sep% %sitename%.

Below, there is a chance to choose a schema type, I chose article. And below that, there is Headline with template: %seo_title%. I updated it with %seo_title% Top 20, so the Single post title and Headline are the same.

But I have an error when I check this article in google’s schema markup testing tool, I get the following:
    TITLE Top 20 | SiteName.com Top 20

As you can see, my added word Top 20 doubles in that markup after sitename. What can I do about it? If I delete Top 20 from %seo_title%, will my posts still be shown in SERP with that added Top 20?
    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The variable %seo_title% takes the entire title you have in the settings so you don’t need to add the “Top 20” to the headline.

If you remove that, the headline will be the same as your title with the variables you have currently set up.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello Dear Miguel!
Thank you for replying my message.
So, does it mean that I can only change the Titles & Meta and leave the headline as %seo_title% as it is? The %seo_title% will take the same info that is given in Titles & Meta? Right?
Sorry for asking the same question, I just need to clarify it.

In this image I show what I want to explain. Do I need to insert the Top 20 in the headline, or is it okay to keep that Top 20 word in Single Post Title?

    Hello,

Yes, you do not need to add anything other than %seo_title% in the Headline field to get the desired output.

The %seo_title% would contain the entire format that you’ve set for Single Post Title.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Thank you very much Dear Prabhat!
