  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

In the first screenshot image you shared, the title is already correct as you can see in my screenshot:

    title

Can you please confirm if you are referring to the description? I checked the description instead and it is too small, that’s why Google is using a much more different and relative description taken from the content of your category:

    category

Looking forward to helping you on this one.

That’s not the description that’s laptop category. i have written the well meta description using rank math. Before the post was ranking on top 10 but after few days when i search it the title is not shown in google search. Is there any change in Rankmath setting?

    Hello,

There are no changes with our meta settings in the last update.

If the title is already set correctly after you checked its page source, then it’s up to Google to acknowledge that title. Your website may also be affected by algorithm updates which you can address here: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-algorithm-update-recovery/

Looking forward to helping you on this one.

It’s not hit by the google core update. Only a few of the titles of my article not showing in google search. When i search for titles it shows the category URL as shown in screenshot.

    Check my third screenshot also

    Hello,

If Google is showing the category instead of the post when you search for the title or a keyword, it means that Google finds your category more relevant for that and ranks it higher than your post. In this case, you will have to optimize the content of your post to make sure they are more relevant to the keyword or set the category URLs as Noindex.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

How to set category as no index ? Is it good for SEO OR NOT ? IF I do no index does it effect website ?

    Hello,

You can follow this guide for the categories to Noindex them: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-noindex-urls/

Is it good for SEO OR NOT ? IF I do no index does it effect website

This completely depends on your SEO strategy. Many websites rank very well and get huge traffic from their category/archive pages, but many do not prefer that.

So, if your category pages are ranking well and getting you traffic, you might not want to Noindex them as that would definitely hurt the traffic, at least until the posts/pages rank well.

I would suggest you further optimize the posts/pages of the website and keep acquiring high-quality backlinks to increase their chances of getting ranked higher and in turn attract more traffic.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Please check the files which I sent recently. All content was optimized properly but the title is not showing on google search results. Instead of a title, it is showing category pages. What is the best solution to solve this problem? i have uploaded around 130 post but my 30% post title is not showing

    Hello,

Based on the searched keyword, it is completely normal for Google to show different results or make modifications to the shown results to match the user’s search intent.

The best approach is to further optimize your posts and increase their authority and keep acquiring high-quality backlinks to increase their chances of getting ranked higher: https://backlinko.com/high-quality-backlinks
