Title doesn’t contain a power word – when it does

  • Hi there,

I am a very happy RankMath user, so thank you for making this awesome plugin!
Speaking of awesome, which is a power word, I have one post where the analysis doesn’t recognize the power word used in the title.

It doesn’t matter what power word I use, it keeps saying there is none.

I’ve cleared cache, saved again, used other words, … nothing helps.
Anything else I could try, please?

  • Hi,

If you keep your title character count within the recommended 60, the power word will be detected even at the end of the title:
    null

Or, feel free to share a title where it isn’t working even with fewer than 60 characters so we can it as well.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi Todd,

    thank you for that.
The thing is that the title we are talking about is within the 60 character limit.

    Hi,

I have been able to replicate the issue. Seems we cannot detect the power word when a punctuation mark is prefixed or suffixed to the power word.

We have raised this as a bug and we will release an update with a fix very soon.

Appreciate your patience in the meantime.

    Thank you.

Hooray! I apologize for being persistent about this, as I know it’s insignificant in the bigger picture of things, but I just knew something wasn’t right.

Thank you so much for sticking with it and finding the cause.

Meanwhile, I mentioned another issue (though unrelated) somewhere in this thread.
It’s about RankMath at one point stopping the keyword count in a post. Would you like me to open a new ticket for this one, please?

    Hi Pascale,

I am sorry but seems like we missed your reply.

Yes, please open a new ticket about that issue and share examples as well so we can take a better look.
