title and meta not updating

  • Hi there!
I was trying to update the meta description, title and keywords (both via Elementor and Classic editor), however, the changes are not being saved after update.
On google search it’s a default meta description reflected, on elementor before editing – the meta description which I have previously done on Yoast (before changing to RanK Math. Yoast was deactevated and deleted). The meta description which I am trying to update, after page reload dissapears. Kindly assist me with the issue

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please check if your title/description is properly set up in the page source:

You can use this tool for the same as well: https://www.heymeta.com/

If it matches your settings, then you must check if Google has seen the changes already or not.

For that, please check when the Google cache was updated for that page:

If the cache date is from before adding the new meta description, then you just have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info.

If your meta is not added to your page source, Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Please let us know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you for your reply.
So I have checked the page source – the meta description is not updated there as I need.

Have also tried following your instructions for a troubleshooting. Couldn’t find any plugin conflict issue. Also, to make sure I am doing everything right, I have tried updating the meta description while all the other plugins were off and unfortunately rank math haven’t saved any updates even in that mode.

If by any chance there are any other ways to fix that issue, kindly let me know. Will be looking forward to your reply.
