Title and description are not updated in Google search

#134444
  • Title and description are not updated in Google search after installing your plugin. My site has a certain number of permanent pages, the information on which is constantly changing, including Title and description.
At the moment, title and description are not updated in google search, so we have a strong drawdown in traffic from this search engine.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please check on your website’s page source if the correct meta title and description were rendered?
    page-source

You can use this tool for the same as well: https://www.heymeta.com/

If it matches your settings, then you must check if Google has seen the changes already or not.

For that, please check when the Google cache was updated for that page:
    a.

    b.

If the cache date is from before adding the new meta title/description, then you just have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thanks for the detailed answer. Title and description are written in the code, there is no re-bypassing by the google robot.
Maybe this is a coincidence, but after switching to your plugin, indexing disappeared. Articles in the search are updated in 3-4 days, although previously it took place within an hour or at most a day.
What advice can you give to resume fast indexing of articles.
    Thank you for your help

Even when requesting forced indexing via google search console, the robot does not crawl.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

Could you please confirm you resubmitted your sitemap after switching to Rank math? If you haven’t, you will need to head to your GSC and remove any sitemap you had submitted previously then resubmit only the main sitemap file(sitemap_index.xml).

You can also consider our fast indexing Google API plugin, here is how to configure it: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/

Here is also an in-depth guide on how you can get your site indexed faster: https://neilpatel.com/blog/google-index/

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

After installing the google indexing api forced indexing plugin, the robot actually crawled the page instantly.

    Hello,

    Thank you for following up.

I’ve checked the image you have provided, and it seems that you see a cached version of your site. Google now shows your updated meta title and description for that page:
    Google Title Description

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
