The rank math plugin cannot detect properties in Google Analytics 4

    Hi
The rank math plugin cannot detect properties in Google Analytics 4. So they do not show so we can choose them.
Only old properties are detected in the plugin settings.
Also in version 4 of Google Analytics, the option to create a view for the property has been removed.
In this case, the connection settings to Google Analytics are not done in full rank math.

If this is possible but I can not do it, please help, otherwise make the necessary corrections in the plugin. For example, an option can be added to select the Google Analytics version first. Either new properties are automatically detected or their name or id can be entered manually in the plugin settings.

    Thank you

  • I am having this issue as well.

We just ran into the SAME problem.

This is a big issue and RankMath needs to stay on top of it.

If we can’t connect our paid version to Google Analytics?!

Having this issue as well. Hoping they have this as something they are integrating in the future.

Having this issue as well, I can’t use RankMaths Analytics with GA4. Need to manually embed the code.

Also having this issue! Just adding on here so I can hopefully get a notification if support comes up with a fix.

Same here… really frustrated because of that – Clients are waiting and I can’t tell them when it will work again, because RankMath doesn’t answer…

My problem too! Please fix this.

So far 3 Business users and 1 Pro user having this problem. Please prioritize.

    Same here.

Same here. I tried to create another property in GA but all RankMath can retrieve is the GA4 account, no properties, no views.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Google Analytics 4 (which is the new default when creating an Analytics property) is relatively a new product and is in Beta, & there could be data discrepancies if we were to integrate them into Rank Math. And the fact that their APIs are not yet fully ready for 3rd party integration, there is not much we can do.

We have to wait until Google makes the APIs available so it could be integrated.

For now, you can enable Google Analytics v3 while creating a new property by following this screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/XUTmhU

This way you can have the data stored in Google new and the stable version.

With that said, we will begin working on the integration as soon as they improve their API.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thanks Uzair for the explanation.

It’s sad to know that this is due to GA4’s unready API πŸ™ Seems like Google is really rushing it.

I suggest you put an “?” icon for explanation why GA4’s properties are not shown. So you can both educate the users about the issue and solve their confusion. Even though there is no actual satisfying solution currently πŸ™

Thanks Uzair, this works for me.

I searched online, and when you’re setting up the property, you can click on the setting icon in the bottom left and choose – “Universal Analytics” instead of GA4.

THEN you can actually see the property in the RankMath plugin.

(Now, I just have to get it to recognize that it’s a paid pro version. One issue at a time lol)
