    Hi

I’ve never had any issue publishing links from my website to facebook now all of a sudden I cant get the links to show a preview of the page for no apparent reason. I googled this and found a debugging tool which came up with the above error and your guide to advise setting up a developer app. I am not a developer and don’t want to set up a developer app. As I say this hasn’t happened before so I am hoping you can help me diagnose what has caused this to happen now and help me fix it ?

    Kind regards

    Andrew

  • Hello,

Since the images on Facebook are cached based on the URL where they are referenced you can try to upload an image to the pages with a different URL and let Facebook see that new URL for the images.

This way the caching would be cleared from the previous images completely, but this should only be used as a last resort since it will take a lot of work to upload new images to every single page with different URLs.

Apart from that, there’s nothing more we can do from our side since our plugin is already including the OpenGraph meta tags used for this purpose and the robots are able to access and parse them.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
