    Hello, I’m experiencing some weird errors on my WordPress editor, and finally found that it’s because of Rank Math.

    Let me explain.

    >> Currently, I’m about to publish a blog post, and every time I finished copy & paste the content from Google Docs to WordPress, I’ll turn on the “open in the new tab” option for all the links in my content.

    >> But in my latest post, I found that the links didn’t work, like…they somehow disappear…

    >> Here’s the screenshot of the errors: https://paste.pics/CK2DE

    >> Normally, it should look something like this: https://paste.pics/CK2E3

    >> However, when I preview the post (the one with link errors), all the text links work fine.

    >> In the end, I found that this error is caused by Rank Math because after deactivated the plugin, all the links in the post have back to normal.

    Can Rank Math fix this issue for me?

    I have just tried to replicate the issue from my end and seems to be working fine here. Please see screenshot:

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    If the issue persists, please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the troubleshooting and edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

    It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    I have done the troubleshooting process. Unfortunately, the issue still persists, and I’m pretty sure it’s because of Rank Math.

    Here’s the troubleshooting process:

    #1: At first, I’ve deactivated all the plugins manually.

    #2: Go to the “Post” section and click on my latest post, and all the text links work fine in the editor.

    #3: Go activate Rank Math (with other plugins still remain deactivated), repeat step #2, and the error happened again. That being said, only my latest post has encountered this error, but other posts work fine.

    I’ve already replicated the issue in the editor, but as you mentioned, the links are fine upon previewing/viewing the post.

    In this case, please also include your FTP in the sensitive data section to investigate this issue further.

    We have been able to replicate this issue from our end and have already notified the developer’s team about it.

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting back to us.

    We do not have an exact ETA as to how long this might take to get addressed. But you can change the link by clicking on the link icon, that I have tested and it is working.

    In case changing the link does not work we may have to look at that as it is something else causing the issue.

    If you really need to use this you can perform a rollback of the plugin’s version as I have updated in my previous reply.

    If you are unable to see an update, please clear Rank Math’s transients from: WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove Rank Math Transients > Remove transients
