As far as I see, apart from the frontend Categories changes, the Post Categories themselves were affected/changed and now the slugs (URLs) changed as well (some of them are being changed to other languages – we have the blog in 5 different languages by using WPML) and were not redirected automatically (they should never have changed).
As you may understand, this is a super-serious matter and need urgent help.
