Hi Ben,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
Please head over to the particular page and use static values as description since the %sitedesc%
is to be used only in the general settings, not on individual posts/pages.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
No it doesn’t help, I don’t understand.
I want the tab in chrome to display the tagline I’ve typed in wordpress. Rankmath is preventing that. What do I do to make this happen? What static value do I need to add?

Hello,
As my colleague said, you can add that var only in the home page. Where do you want to add the tag line? In the home page or in categories, posts…?
If you can give some more details about your issue, we will be able to help you easily.
Looking forward to help you.
There is a setting in WordPress – Settings > general > tagline
That tagline should show in the browser tab. You can open multiple tabs in one browser and they are all displayed at the top. If you hover over any of those tabs It should display the tagline I referenced at the start of this message.
If I disable rankmath it displays, when I enable rankmath it doesn’t.
What settings do I need to change In rankmath to get the tagline to display in the browser tab?
Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
If you want the tagline to appear on all posts then you need to navigate to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Posts > Single Post title and add the variable %sitedesc%
This will then show the tagline as the post title.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
