tag meta title

Hi, I want to conditionally display the meta title of tags.
    that’s mean
If there is a product in a tag, if that product belongs to a specific category, then a specific word is added to the meta title of that tag.
    for example:
We have a tag with the title Halloween
Its meta title: Halloween - free
    Its pattern in Rankmath settings:
    %term% %sep% free
If the product belongs to a specific category in this tag, for example, the category with ID: 456
The meta title of tag becomes:
    Halloween - photo free
If another category ID is added, for example: 256
    That is, 456 and 256
The meta title of tag becomes:
    Halloween - photo, vector free
    Is this possible with rankmath?

  • Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing. To conditionally display the meta title of tags based on the products’ categories, you can achieve this using Rank Math’s dynamic variables and filters.

You can set up a pattern in Rank Math’s settings using the %term% variable and then use a filter to modify the meta title based on the product categories.

Here’s an example of how you can achieve this:

    1. Set up the pattern in Rank Math’s settings: %term% %sep% free

    2. Use a filter to modify the meta title based on the product categories. You can add a custom filter to check if the product belongs to a specific category and then modify the meta title accordingly.

If you need assistance with setting up the filter or have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We’re sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your tag meta title.

Let me see if I understand your situation correctly. You want to display different words in the meta title of a tag, depending on which category the products in the tag belong to? Please share more details about your use-case so we can understand it better.

That said, this is most likely not something that Rank Math can do out of the box. You’ll need some custom coding to achieve this functionality. You can speak with your developer to use Rank Math’s filters to modify the meta title based on your preferred conditions. You can find more information about Rank Math’s filters here: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/

One possible filter that you can use is rank_math/frontend/title, which allows you to change the SEO title of any post type or term. You can use some conditional logic to check the product category and append the appropriate word to the tag title.

I hope this clarifies the issue for you. If you have any other questions or need more help, please don’t hesitate to contact us again.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math!
