Table of Contents is not detected/loading since April, 2024

    Hello Support Team,

    I started to notice TOC was not able to load/detect the heading since April in the NEW post. I have checked your post about TOC and learned that it may cause problems when adding lower-level heading to the contents before higher-level heading, which you are currently fixing. However, this seems not to be my case.

    – Rank Math ver. 1.0.212
    – Elementor Pro ver. 3.21.0
    – No additional TOC plug-ins or SEO (except Rank Math) is installed
    – TOC Block Global Settings are set correctly following the instruction by the post.
    – No custom CSS in my post.

    TOC in OLD posts are showing correctly and working fine. It just could not be created successfully in the NEW post.

    It would be highly appreciated if you have any idea how to fix the issue.

    Hello Support Team,

    Thanks for sharing information.

    I have tried two suggestions from your reply: check theme conflict and re-save permalinks. Unfortunately, neither of them worked.

    The theme I am using is Astra. Is there any known issue with this theme?

    Do you recommend uninstalled Rank Math plugin and re-install it to check if the problem is solved?

    If there is other method to try, please let me know for sure. Thank you.

    Hello,

    We can see that you are using an outdated version of the plugin. You currently have ver. 1.0.212 installed and the current version is v1.0.217 according to the changelog: https://rankmath.com/changelog/free/

    Please update the plugin to the latest version and check if that resolves the issue for you.

    Thank you for pointing it out. Somehow the auto update did not work so I was not aware of double checking the version. Anyways, I manually updated it to the latest version 1.0.217.

    The problem with TOC has been solved. I will remember to check the update regularly in the future.
