    Hello!

    I am getting multiple page errors in Google Search Console, saying “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex'” but these pages are marked to be indexed as far as I know. I have included a few photos in the Sensitive Data box. I’ve not seen a similar issue in the knowledge base, and I do not know how to fix these page errors, so any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Hello,

    @Joe
    Your URLs seem they were last crawled about a month ago. Please click on your URLs and validate them again as it is likely just a matter of Google updating your URLs data.

    @Ivo
    & @Kyle please ensure you have not checked the option to discourage search engines from indexing your site in WordPress Settings > Reading

    Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Thank you for the quick response! I’ve tested all 10 pages showing errors, and 7 of the 10 came back good on the live test. I clicked to validate, and all 10 pages are now pending. The following 3 pages did show as being tagged noindex:

    /checkout/
    /cart/
    /my-account/

    These pages were installed automatically with WooCommerce. I do not want these pages to be indexed, so this is fine, but I also do not want the errors to continue for these pages in Google Search Console. I navigated to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General and entered the page ID of these 3 pages into the “Exclude Posts” box. I separated each with a comma, as noted. I then clicked to check my page-sitemap, and I see these 3 pages are still listed? Did I do something wrong?

    Thanks!
    Joe

    Hi Michael,

    I made a separate issue for my case:
    https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/entire-site-has-noindex-but-setting-are-on-index/

    I have checked your suggestion and its not the case.

    Please assist me further in my issue, because if this is a bug within rank math, then its a big one…

    Regard,

    Ivo

    Hello,

    Please try heading to the Advanced tab and use either of the following options:

    1. Mark the page as noindex. The sitemap is only meant to include posts that are set to index and therefore noindexed post are simply excluded from the sitemap.

    2.Add a canonical URL. Rank math understands post with user defined canonical as being duplicate content and they are therefore excluded from sitemap automatically.

    Once done, you can flush your sitemap cache and refresh by following these steps:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    That should fix the issue. Please let me know if that does not. We are here to assist.
