Structured Data and SEO Title Issue

My site runs on AMP entirely (Standard Mode) and I think I’m having a couple of issues because of that.

    • When testing a post page (which is an AMP page) in Google’s Rich Results Test tool, I get a Missing field ‘headline’ error. The Rank Math AMP module is enabled. And I cleared full cache multiple times. Even tried without cache. It doesn’t help.

      Example test URL: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwhatemoji.org%2Fwoozy-face%2F&user_agent=1

    • I have modified the Single Post Title in the plugin setting like this “%title% Emoji %sep% %sitename%”. I need the ‘Emoji’ word after the post title in the SEO title for all posts. However, the SEO title under the <title> tag in the HTML remains the same as the default pattern only “%title% %sep% %sitename%”. It’s disregarding my custom setting. Also, I’m NOT setting (modifying) the SEO title on individual post pages. I understand that’d override the global setting.

It’d be very helpful if you could resolve these issues. I tried Yoast, these issues weren’t present on their plugin. But Yoast messed up all emojis on my site by failing to render emojis and instead showed unsupported unicode characters.

  • Hi Shivam,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    1. Looks like the headline is missing from the Schema.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Please let me know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    2. The Title is working fine:

Is there any particular post where the title is not showing?

Went through the troubleshooting step in the Health Check plugin and it did not seem to be any plugin or theme conflict.

I enabled only the Rank Math plugin with default Twenty Twenty WordPress theme and it still wasn’t showing the customized SEO title that I set in Rankmath Plugin settings.

Then, I enabled the AMP plugin to test if the “Missing Headline” issues is resolved. But unfortunately, the Headline was still missing. I checked in the page source.

And no, this issue isn’t isolated to particular post or page. It’s site-wide on all posts.

I switched to Yoast. You can end/delete this support ticket.
