    Hello,

    I am activating the “Strip Category Base” option in your plugin to hide the category url base on my website.

    After activating this, the /category/ url in all categories disappears without any problem.

    but my problem is as follows:

    I am also using translatepress translation plugin on my website.

    When I translate any category url address to a different language with translatepress, this category page does not open on other pages other than the main language. 404 error appears.

    For example:

    sitename.com/cars/ – works fine.

    sitename.com/tr/arabalar/ does not work.

    When I turn off the “Strip Category Base” feature, the status urls appear as follows as standard and they work fine:

    sitename.com/category/cars/ – works fine.

    sitename.com/tr/category/arabalar/ works fine.

    how can i fix this problem?

    i also want to point out that this problem only occurs in category fields. it is not present in pages and posts. i have done many different experiments.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that this issue might have caused.

    Please note that when you enable the Strip Category Base option in Rank Math → General Settings and translate the taxonomy slug, the translated archive page displays a 404 error.

    As a workaround do not translate the category, product, or product-category slugs. The untranslated terms won’t be visible in the URL anyway when you use any of those options.

    Hello,

    Upon further tests from our side, it seems that this indeed is correct and our compatibility with the TranslastePress plugin will only go as far as including the correct pages in the sitemap, and the features to remove product or category base won’t work properly.

    We’ll take note of this internally and if the opportunity arises in the future we’ll work to build on that compatibility and if we require any assistance from the team over at TranslatePress we’ll make sure to get in touch with them.

    Since TranslatePress doesn’t support removing the category base, we don’t have any option in our plugin to force the translation plugin to use the short permalinks. In this case, you will have to keep the Remove Category Base option disabled to make the categories work in the secondary language.
