strange url in sitemap - Support

Hi,

I have the following code in my https://ecowitch.co.uk/page-sitemap.xml which is throwing up issues in Google

<loc>https://ecowitch.co.uk/</loc>
<lastmod>2020-08-06T12:56:09+01:00</lastmod>

<image:loc>https://ecowitch.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/nutrition-illustration-12-368×500.png</image:loc>

I don’t know where it is coming from or how to get rid of it.

I would really appreciate your advice and assistance with this.

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

The issue is likely caused by one of your plugins or installed theme. Could you please switch your theme to a default one and deactivate your plugins, one by one while checking your sitemap in a private browser after every change, until you find the complete.

To avoid any impact on your front end, if your site is live, you can create and use a test/staging site to check this. Let us know if you find the culprit.

Hi,

I have tried everything you suggested but have not found a solution to this issue. I guess I will have to live with it for the time being and hope that a solution will be found. It is only two errors in Google so hopefully it wont cause too many problems.

Thank you for your kind offer of help, but unless this is going to cause problems with Google it probably isn’t worth the extra work. If you think it will cause me ongoing problems with Google then perhaps you could let me know and I could get back to you at a later date.

Hi,

We are so sorry about that issue.

We have seen this type of issue before and it happens when you are using the Blurp feature in Divi and use a BG image in the blurp.

We recommend that you contact Divi team and ask them if they have a solution for this where these BG images of blurps are not included in the sitemap. The functionality of Rank Math being able to see Divi images and adding them to the sitemap was added by the Divi team and that is why it is recommended that you contact them directly.
