    Rank Math free

    Hi,

I interested about similar topic. But I don’t need to “check” the noindex in URL or code because I made it directly.

I’d like to exclude some pages from google indexing so i noindexed them.

But the problem is that the RankMath sitemap still contains the noindexed pages…

That’s why the search console reject it because of the noindexed pages.

–> So I would like to know how can I exclude the noindex pages from the sitemap? Or modify the sitemap…

    Thanks a lot,
    Dora

  • Hello,

@Dora You can exclude pages/posts in your sitemap by entering the post/page ID of that particular page you want to exclude.

Please head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General.

    Here’s a screenshot for reference:
    Exclude Page from Sitemap

And, here’s how you find the post/page ID inside WordPress: https://mythemeshop.com/blog/how-to-find-post-category-tag-comments-or-user-id-in-wordpress/

If the option is not showing in the sitemap settings, please ensure that your configuration is already set to Advanced Mode by heading over to Rank Math > Dashboard, and click the Advanced Mode at the upper right corner of your screen:

    Easy to Advanced Mode

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Hello Reinelle,

    Many thank for your answer.

I tried it before also in the main menu but the settings are not showing in the sitemap.

I tried the Advanced mode too but I’m in Advanced and it’s still not works.

The format shouldn’t be wrong cause it’s only 4 numbers and i separate by ,.

    Do I make something different?!

    So i’m clueless.

    Thanks,
    Dora

    Hello,

In that case, could you please share the page URLs you wish to exclude in the sensitive section?

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I checked your site from my end.

You have 19 public published pages, 7 of which you have excluded from your sitemap.

These pages don’t appear in the sitemap from my end, check the screenshot I have added in the sensitive section.

It is likely you are viewing a a version of sitemap cached by your browser, could yo please check your sitemap from an incognito/private tab.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Yes, thats correct. I wanted to exclude those 7s.

So I checked in incognito and these are excluded. 🙂

Then I checked the search console status cause previous that was rejected. Now I see its approved… 6 days it was denied beacuse of noindexed pages… – they said -.- so thats why i thought because of sitemap.

I didn’t switch to the new one so I dont know what solve it.

But finally it works and many thanks for your help!

    Cheers,
    Dora
