Some Opengraph meta tags are missing.

Hi there, I completed the SEO Analysis for my client’s site iccaustin.coop and all was well until coming across the OpenGraph Meta item on the SEO Analysis’ checklist.

I looked on Google and saw a variety of support forums and went ahead and followed what the support member suggested to the users.

Going into RankMath – Titles & Meta – and setting an image on the OpenGraph Thumbnail (this was already completed), so I knew it wasn’t this issues, therefore I moved onto the next support forum where a support team member told them to go to RankMath – Titles & Meta – Homepage but because my page is static, I don’t have access to the default settings that team member said to set. I also saw another forum suggesting to go to RankMath – Titles & Meta – Pages and setting something as default but I didn’t see this as an option either.

What exactly should I do to resolve this issue?

    Thanks.

Also: the site doesn’t have a blog or function as a blog if this information is useful concerning OpenGraph meta tags

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I checked your site and it seems to be missing title opengraph.

You also have duplicate meta description, likely added by your theme. Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), to determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Please let us know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hey Michael!

I was curious to know where I can find the title opengraph as well as the meta description in my WP dashboard so I can fix these issues you mentioned?

    Thanks,

    – Naja

    Hello,

If you want, we could log in and try to record a screencast showing how to change it. To do that, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The facebook title on any page usually takes the set page title unless changed. In your site, the title was empty because you had an issue in how you were using the titles meta variables. You had added %title%sitename% instead of %title% %sitename%, please check the screencast I have added in the sensitive section.

I changed this and the opengrapgh title is now added to your page. If you analyse your page now, the opengrapgh meta should read as set.

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
