Social snippet not displaying featured image correctly - Support

Hi,

RankMath SEO’s social media image preview doesn’t display my featured image correctly: the image is off-center, with the left half cropped off.

I usually use a 1900 x 1200 pixel image as featured image for many posts, which is sized specifically for social sharing.

If I manually replace the social image with the same image, it displays correctly. But that kind of defeats the purpose of the plugin.

How can I get it to work as expected?

My image is 1200 x 638. (My original message listed the dimensions wrong.)

So it seems like I’m following your guidelines, yet still the image does not automatically display correctly.

Hello,

We’ve checked the link using Facebook Debugger Tool tool, and the image is showing fine.

If it’s still getting cut in the editor, please remove or change the image, then add it again.

We used the image on our end as the featured image and we can see the Rank Math Social Preview is showing the image properly:

In this case, please make sure you’re using the latest version of the Rank Math plugin on your website: https://rankmath.com/changelog/free/

You can also follow this guideline to check if any of your plugins/themes are conflicting with Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

However, please note that even if the preview is not showing properly, the correct image should be added to the source code of your page.
