  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

I tested your URL on Facebook debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and it shows Curl error: 35 (SSL_CONNECT_ERROR)

Please get in touch with your web host and ask them to enable cURL on your web server. After that is done, you should be able to connect your plugin with RankMath.com account properly.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

My host mentioned that it was already enabled by default. Could you pls look into those again Michael? Appreciate it!

    Hi ,

The issue is still there, please check the screenshot I have added in the sensitive section.

You seem to have gzip compression enabled. If you are using the option for W3 Total Cache at WP > Performance > Browser Cache > HTTP (gzip) compression, please turn it off as it has been known to cause similar issues.

w3 total turn off gzip compression

If you are also using any SSL plugin you can test by deactivating the plugin, then clear your website and server cache (including Cloudflare – if enabled)

Once you are done, you might want to test again here:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    Click the Scrape Again button:
    scarpe again facebook debug tool

You should now see the OpenGraph tags update including the image.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

Hi thanks for the update and reply.

I am not using caching plugin and unsure how to disable any HTTP (gzip) compression.

Could you help me out if i could provide you the WP access?

Need to urgently launch my blog to the public soon.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Yes, we can take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have checked and in the settings in your site, everything is fine (you even have it well in the source code).

Facebook is returning error code 0, so it means something is blocking it. Maybe your server IP is blocked by Facebook, maybe the server is blocking it (with the mod_security module)…

In any case, my recommendation would be your hosting support to check it and to check the server logs after trying to extract the image using this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

    Looking forward to help you.

    Hello,

I am sorry but I don’t see any changes in the Sensitive Data section. Where you able to check what I said here:

    Hi guys,

This was the reply i had gotten from my host.

    ====

    Hello Client,

I am sorry if this is not settled. Let me make sure we can get this sorted.

Upon checking the link that you have provided, the issue is related to the Curl error. However, we can check that Curl is already enabled for your account, please see the screenshot below.

    Hi,

If you check your website using any 3rd party tool, you will see the issue:

Ideally, you want to see a 200 status code.

Here are the top reason for getting the error message you are getting and its solution:
    https://bobcares.com/blog/php-curl-ssl-connect-error-35/

If your web host is not able to resolve this, we recommend looking for a web host that doesn’t have this issue.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
