Snippet text shows up in post

    I read here https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/ that “Rich Snippets are supposed to be visible only to search engines. Therefore, all the information you add here will not be visible to any of your users”

    However, when I go to add the recipe snippet info (e.g. directions, ingredients) it all shows up on the actual post, right at the top. How do I get it to NOT show?

    In the review location section it says “The review or rating must be displayed on the page to comply with Google’s Rich Snippet guidelines.”

    I just wanted the actual star rating to show, not the whole thing.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    I am sorry for any confusion caused, Google’s schema guidelines recommend that you show your schema to users as well as bots. Our plugin however lets you take full control of your SEO and prevent the schema from being displayed on your posts by selecting the last option on the rich snippet tab as shown below and skip the addition of shortcode on your posts:

    Thanks for the reply. So what happens if I don’t show it to users?

    I have almost the exact same text in the post, is that good enough?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

    You run the risk of getting removed from the rich snippet program when you only serve the schema to the bots using JSON-LD data. Google is however not very strict on this and thus this step is optional.
