Today we posted a story for Hidden Brain that has a small featured image. If you look at the source for that page (https://hiddenbrain.org/podcast/the-fake-bride/) you’ll see that some of the metadata for the featured image is coming through properly. Note, for instance, that the alt text associated with that image comes through as <meta property=”og:image:alt” content=”jane mickelson”>
The image itself, though, is overwritten by the default image that we use when we don’t have a featured image. The desired behavior would be to toggle to a small card and crop to square. I suspect your code is looking for a medium or large crop type of the image and can’t find it, so it just assumes there is no image, rather than looking for a thumbnail or the raw image if those preferred crop types don’t exist.
Is this, as I suspect, a known bug that you’re working on? Or is there a work-around on my end besides finding a giant image?
