Sitemaps xml crashed our site

    Context

    We are trying to implement this plugin on our site. Our site has around 10,000 pages ( including posts and other taxonomies). We tried to reduce the number of posts on each sitemap, which currently is 200. It generates like 48 sitemaps. When we tried to visit each we got the following error, this error repeats around 10k in our logs files. Causing the site crashing therefore google can’t read this sitemap.

    We tried updating WordPress, RankMath, and RankMath Pro, but nothing worked.
    Also, we disable all the plugins and only RankMath left and it still has the same problem.
    Our wp-config has 1024M of memory

    This error is typically caused when a function is trying to access a post or a page that doesn’t exist on your WordPress site.

    Please try clearing your website cache and ensure that Rank Math’s sitemap is free from your caching services as well. You may check this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    If that doesn’t help, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    I tried all the recommendations above and found that this plugin Query monitor https://querymonitor.com/ is causing issues when visiting the sitemaps. Is there anything else that you can help us with?

    Hello,

    You should get in touch with the support of the Query Monitor plugin and inform them about the issue. They might already have a solution for this.

    We believe Query Monitor is not the issue. We already contacted them, because the origin of this warning comes from Rank Math.

    This warning only appears when visiting the sitemaps.xml.
