Sitemaps still not working after support

  • I forgot to say that the XML validator page is sending me back this error: Incorrect http header content-type: “” (expected: “application/xml”)

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    The XML Sitemap validator tool is seeing the 524 error, that’s why it is not validating.

    Since decreasing the links per sitemap temporarily fixes the issue, it is likely that the sitemap process is not completed in time or exhausting your server resources.

    Could you please check your site’s configuration for some PHP values that are too low and which you should increase? You can get in touch with your web host and ask them to set the following values (if not yet):

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

    my webhost changed my values. They even increased them as follow:

    PHP Memory Limit: 768M
    Max input time: 300
    PHP time limit: 300
    PHP max input variables: 3000

    Then I have tested our https://tuapppara.com/sitemap_index.xml and it doesn´t work. It does for the very first post pages (up to https://tuapppara.com/post-sitemap5.xml) but after that one, it returns the 524:

    A timeout occurred Error code 524
    Visit cloudflare.com for more information.

    The only difference is that now it is refering to cloudflare.

    Is there anything else we could do?

    Can you please clear the cache from Cloudflare and see if that fixes the issue?

    If the issue persists, please exclude the sitemaps from caching in Cloudflare:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/#cloudflare

    Once done, purge the cache from Cloudflare and check the sitemap.
