sitemaps not updating

  • I noticed the same when updating a post to “no index”, the page still exists in the sitemap…

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    If you have any caching plugin, please exclude your sitemap URLs from caching and purge your site cache then do the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

    That should fix the issue.

    You can test your sitemap in a private browser to avoid browser caching.

    If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

    It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    You’re right, it was a caching issue! I excluded the 3 sitemaps, and we’re back in business. Thanks!

    Do i need to update permalik every time i add new post. Updating permalink worked before but not its not working please check.

    Also what should be the user type I need to grant you

    You can use our email s******@r*********** and grant and admin role so we can check the issue smoothly. You can use the audit plugin suggested in my previous post to monitor any changes, if any, made by our staff.

    I have logged on the website and added the right caching exceptions to your caching plugin.

    After that I purged the caches and now everything should be working fine, could you check it?

    Hello,

    I checked again and it seems you are also using the Cloudflare cache, that could be the cause you still have issues.

    Could you exclude there the following URLs?

    /main-sitemap.xsl
    /sitemap_index.xml
    /post-sitemap.xml
    /page-sitemap.xml
    /category-sitemap.xml
    /rachnakar-sitemap.xml
    /anchor-sitemap.xml
