    Hi Haydn,

If you used the newer DNS-based verification method to verify your site in Search Console, then the submitted sitemaps list will not be available in Rank Math. Sites that have been verified using that are not accessible through the Search Console sitemaps API. Until Google adds support for that, we cannot show the Sitemaps list within your WordPress dashoard.

If you did not use the DNS verification and the submitted sitemaps are still not showing up in Rank Math > Search Console > Sitemaps, then first of all please go to Rank Math > General Settings > Search Console and click on Deauthorize, save it, and then authorize again, and save the settings once again.

You can check if the sitemap is working correctly on your site or not by visiting the sitemap_index.xml URL in your browser. You should see something like this: https://rankmath.com/sitemap_index.xml Clicking on the individual sitemaps should work too.
What you see in the Sitemaps report of the Search Console should reflect that: when you navigate to the Sitemaps report, you should see only the sitemap_index.xml listed there, and when you click on it, you should see the list of individual sitemaps included in the sitemap index.

You don’t have to submit the sitemaps manually, Rank Math should take care of that for you. If for any reason Rank Math did not submit your sitemap index correctly, then you can correct it in the Search Console manually, by submitting only the sitemap index and removing all the other sitemaps submitted.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

    Thanks, for the reply.

I was just wondering if you could answer the issues raised in the second video. That is why are my pages not being linked after I set up Rank math. I am also noticing a large number of pages excluded by’noindex’ tag. Many being news stories that we update daily and only recently using WP pages. Just running a free SEMrush audit on 100 pages 97 were reported as not indexed.

I am getting quite concerned that Rank Math might be causing many problems and hampering my site. Also, although thankful for your prompt response sometimes I feel the solutions leave even more questions than answers.
Although Rank Math claims that it is easily setup and utilise it seems more complex to get everything working efficiently on Google Search Console in the first place

Please, don’t see this as a complaint as I think Rank Math is a great bit of kit and offers so much. I just want to see everything working properly in the background so I can go about my proper job being a journalist and not getting frustrated discovering problems and spending time trying to fix things I don’t really understand.

All of your help is truly appreciated but please try to supply solutions, information or step by step guides I can realistically follow.

    Many thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

a). The indexed but not submitted in sitemap error is arising from the fact that not all your links have been added. I have taken a look at your sitemap but there are only about 700 links. To fix this, please:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

Head over to https://yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml and check if the number of links will have increased under each sitemap.

b). Reduction in Submitted and indexed could suggest that the frequency in which Rank Math is updating links on the sitemap might be getting hindered. Please check whether you have an exception for the sitemap file on your caching rules. The sitemap should never be cached.

c). Excluded by noindex tag Could you please share about three links affected by this problem so that we can check this further?

d). Page with redirect Kindly also share a few links affected by this so that we can check this further.

If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
