Hi Please, can you advise why my main page would drop off sitemaps? and how I get it back on the sitemap.
I have tried removing sitemaps through the rank math settings. I have hit save in permalink settings etc.
Also when in google chrome my sitemaps doesn’t load, I just get a blank page
    thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This is likely as a result of a conflict with one of your installed plugins. Please perform the diagnostic steps described on this page and let us know how this goes:

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I cant belive i waited days for that reply. Unreal!!
I deactivated sitemaps and installed xml sitmaps and no issues.
Im also having issues where the meta data i add using rankmath is not used by google search results, probably only 1/10 of my meta datas are correct. Im starting to think rank math has more bugs that lake in the amazon rainforest.

    Hi Damian,

I am so sorry about that.

If you are using a cache plugin, it is a good idea to exclude sitemap_index.xml file from being cache.

The reason it might be working with the other Sitemap plugin is that by default most cache plugins exclude sitemap.xml file from being cache which is the filename used by XML Sitemaps plugin. If you want, we can do it for you.

About your title issue, can you please check when the Google cache was updated for that page?

If the cache date is from before adding the new meta description, then you just have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info. If the date is after you made the changes, the next step is to check if your title/description is properly set up in the page source:

You can use this tool for the same as well: https://www.heymeta.com/

If it matches your settings, there is nothing else you can do as Google shows the title/description tag according to the search intent.

The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

You can read more about it here

This section sheds light on that:
