Sitemaps just don’t update

#21217
  • Rank Math Seo has a big problem actualizing sitemaps. If you change a URL in your web, this plugin just does nothing. It is a big problem for SEO and it is a headache to find a way to solve it. It doesn’t update new pages too. Can somebody explain how to solve it?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I cannot reproduce this problem on my testing area. It is likely that this is as a result of page caching on your end. Could you please check to confirm that your caching rules are set to bypass the sitemap_index file?
You can also perform some testing by deactivating your caching plugin and checking if the issue will still be replicated.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hi Michael, I don´t have any plugin for page caching. I use cloudflare, if I set the caching as disabled, the problem is the same. I don´t have any cache rules configured

It seems I’m facing a similar issue where I’ve connected Google Search Console and submitted site maps, but they don’t show on the RankMath Search Console Sitemaps tab. I’ve confirmed that my caching bypasses /sitemap_index.xml/*.

I appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Yes, I’m facing the same problem. It’s been 5 days that I published a post and it’s not updated in the sitemap. When I search google, it’s nowhere found.
What is the solution for this? Please help asap.
Should I submit the sitemap url manually in google search console?

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    @jaykale
yes you have to manually submit the sitemap to the search console.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi Michael, I sent you the link to login. I appreciate your help with this issue and I´ll be waiting for your answer.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the access.

The problem on your site is related to file caching on your end. Contrary to what you mentioned earlier, you have the Autoptimze plugin installed that is caching your pages including the sitemap file.
I have just cleared this plugin’s cache and flushed your permalinks by hitting save under Settings > Permalinks page and the changes are now detected on the sitemap file.
I can suggest that you reach out to the author of this plugin so that they can advise on how to bypass the sitemap.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

Thanks for your answer Michael, but the changes were not detected on the sitemap as you say. The sitemap is exactly the same without any update. I uninstalled autoptimize but the problem is still the same.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I tested this by setting some posts to noindex and they were removed from the sitemap. Could you please check if the affected links that are not visible on the sitemap are set to noindex by the Advanced tab of the Rank Math metabox?
If this is not the case, please share a few copies of the affected links that do not appear on the sitemap on the sensitve data section so that we can investigate this further.

    Thank you.

Michael, the sitemap now is working fine, but I didn’t make any change. So, I don´t know what was finally the problem.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I am glad that this is now resolved 🙂

Feel free to contact us should any other issues come up. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Your last response suggested that this is now resolved, could you please add a new access token so that we can investigate this further?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I continue with the tests. I created a new page with this link:

    something wrong

this new page doesn´t appear in the sitemap.

I deleted the last page a created with the link https://examenesocupacionales.com/test/
but the link is still showing in the sitemap. So, something is still wrong
