Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
If you have already removed Yoast from your site then it would be a great call to remove the old sitemap from the search console since this won’t be updated. You can safely delete it and it won’t affect your ranking since the sitemap essentially tells the Google bots to crawl your site.
Please add the sitemap index file ie https://***/sitemap_index.xml to the search console and it will automatically import all the links
I hope this info helps. Thank you.

Ok, i added but its still showing as old sitemap
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Having a noindex on the sitemap file is perfectly fine. That is to prevent it from appearing in the search engine result pages.
I just checked your sitemap and it appears to be working correctly:

Is that not what you are seeing from your end?
Hi. Ok, thank you for this info. And yes, new sitemap on my end is working correctly, i mean in google search console is still showing old sitemap after i submit new sitemap
Hello,
Please remove the old sitemap and then resubmit the new one.
That should fix the issue.
I already do this, but previously have Yoast sitemap, so link look same as this…
Hello,
How are you determining that GSC has your old sitemap then?
Because it’s still showing old sitemap
Ok, i added again and now say Sitemap could not be read, Status Couldn’t fetch
Hello Rogert,
Please wait 24 hours and see if the status changes.
If it doesn’t, do get back to us.
Ok, i will. Thank you for help, btw i have around 3k posts so i think it might took some time before Google fetch them and show in GSC..
Hi Rogert,
Thanks for the response.
We are looking forward to the results.
