would you be able to check my sitemap https://www.in2town.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml i deleted lots of posts but for some reason my sitemap when i submit to google shows 10,000 posts which is not correct as i deleted a lot and should be more than 3,000 or less. how do i solve this problem and do i have the sitemap set up correctly please as google is not picking up any of my fresh content

Please flush the cache of your site, remove the previously submitted sitemaps from your GSC account, and resubmit your main sitemap_index.xml. Once done, wait for the last read date to update in the sitemap section of your GSC account.
