Sitemap Settings: \"Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page\"

  • Hi guys, love the plugin.

    Hopefully you can help me with a few issues:

    1 – When I log into wp-admin I see this “Please keep only one Sitemap plugin active, otherwise, you might lose your rankings and traffic. Click here to Deactivate.” – however, click the deactivate option doesn’t achieve anything

    2 – Whenever I try switching on Sitemaps, the option seems to switch back off when I leave the page – weird

    3 – Whenever I try switching on Sitemaps, then click the ‘settings’ link, I receive this:
    “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    Hopefully it’s an easy fix, but I can not see the solution 🙁

  • I think I see the issue here, the sitemap is no longer on my server, I may have deleted it by accident and of course I can not re-generate the thing!

    So I’m really stuck now and soon I will have webmasters complaining at me whilst my search engine rankings plummit 🙁

    We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    I provided those details at the time, but have since moved on to remove this plugin as it’s unfortunately not ready for a production site, so I deleted my credentials.

    I am sorry that the Rank Math experience was not satisfactory on your site. I suspect that this is majorly as as result of a conflict with one of your installed plugins or your current theme.

    We would love to investigate this further to isolate and fix the problem so that you can enjoy Rank Math in future. Could you please share some access to your dev/staging server so that we can chase this down?

    Unfortunately I am not able to use any other sitemap plugin as this plugin is holding my website hostage in terms of sitemaps. So my situation is that I have no sitemap. This plugin will not create me a sitemap and no other plugin will create me a sitemap.

    So I have no choice but to submit to this plugin and try again.

    I also do not have the option to edit my first post to submit the credentials. Can you please assist

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Rank Math does not create a static sitemap file which makes it odd when you say that the plugin has held your sitemap hostage. All the plugin functionality will be disabled once Rank Math has been disabled. I suspect that there is a general configuration issue that is affecting the creation of sitemaps for all plugins on your site.
    Your last post today is from a different account and this is why the sensitive data is inaccessible. Please respond with your other account @chrisbailey1 or you can open a new ticket so that we can check these issues for you.
