    Hey there,
    I have 2 questions:

    1) I removed a lot of posts from my site, however in the sitemap generated by Rankmath they are still there. How can I fix this? (Cache flush didnt help)

    2) I have plugins that create dynamic/virtual pages. These are not covered in the sitemap. How to fix this?

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    1. Could you please share(in the sensitive section) your sitemap URL and some of the posts that are meant to be excluded but aren’t so we can check from our end?

    2. Rank math only adds pages that exist and are published on your site having been set to index. For dynamically generated pages, you may need the assistance of a developer to create a function to add the generated URL s to the sitemap. This filter can help in the case: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#add-extra-urls-in-sitemap

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Thanks!

Ad 1) The link is included in the sensitive data section

ad 2) This is great but afaik this adds one specific URL to the sitemap, but I have like 5000 virtual pages. It would be tremendous work to do that. Is there a better way?
Also, does RankMath add meta descriptions and other page/post specific things to virtual pages?

    Hello,

    Sorry for the delay.

If the pages are created using WordPress, then Rank Math should be able to add them. Could you also confirm how you are creating these pages?

If they were created using WordPress, then we should be able to add SEO tags as well.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

The pages were created using a plugin that has an option to create virtual pages for stocks. I dont think they were accounted in the RankMath sitemap.

    Hello,

I am sorry but Rank math settings and sitemap by default only work on pages/posts that exist on your site. For dynamic/virtual pages you will require customizations.

You can customize the filter I shared to pick the URLs of the dynamic pages and add each page to the sitemap in a loop dynamically every time a page is generated. You can use the same loop to add meta data by using the meta data filters: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#metadata

To execute this you will either need to be a developer or hire one.

As for the URL to exclude, the URL in the sensitive section seems to be a domain home page. You can exclude this by simply setting it to noindex.

    Hope this helps
