    Rank Math free

    Hello,

I actively use the translatepress plugin on my website.

I translate the articles throughout the website into different languages.

Also, the number of links per sitemap in the rankmath settings section is 200.

but although this is the case, the post_sitemap content has reached about 600.

my website had 2 post_sitemaps in total before switching to multilingual system.

but after switching to multilingual system, the old sitemaps were overwritten with links to posts translated into other languages.

Logically, there should be 4-5 different post_sitemaps now, but there are still 2 and as I mentioned above, their number has reached 600.

Is this a problem and if so what should I do?

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with your post_sitemap content having around 600 links even though you’ve set the number of links per sitemap to 200 in the Rank Math settings section.

When using TranslatePress for multilingual content, it’s essential to note that TranslatePress offers a built-in integration that automatically extends your sitemap to include multilingual content. This integration works seamlessly with Rank Math, ensuring all your multilingual posts or pages are included in the sitemap.

To address the concern of exceeding the set number of links per sitemap, this behavior might occur due to the way TranslatePress integrates with Rank Math to include multilingual content. The integration might be combining all the links into a single sitemap, surpassing the specified limit.

To manage this issue, you can consider reaching out to TranslatePress support for further assistance in configuring the sitemap integration or adjusting the number of links per sitemap. They might provide insights or solutions tailored to your specific setup.

If you need additional help or further clarification on this matter, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you promptly.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work towards resolving this issue for you.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Our plugin by default will add the URLs of the main language and the rest is handled by the translation plugin, which in this case is Translatepress.

However, this method is also acceptable by Google for multilingual websites as you can see here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/specialty/international/managing-multi-regional-sites

Also, TranslatePress SEO pack addon integration adds the translated URLs to our sitemap automatically. It can be found at WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Addons > SEO Pack with the premium version of TranslatePress.

You can check this URL for more details: https://translatepress.com/docs/addons/seo-pack/

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.
