  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. Check your sitemap post clearing your site and browser cache.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hello,

As instructed by my colleague above you need to add this code to the functions.php file. It seems like you placed this code in the wrong place. Please follow the instructions mentioned in this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

Follow any of the methods mentioned in the above article then add the following code:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

We hope that clarifies your doubts. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

    Thank you

    Hello,

You have added the filter in Rank Math’s file. The rank-math.php file should be created in your active theme’s directory:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/#num-2-1-create-rank-math-php-file

We can also apply the filter for you if you still need assistance with this.

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    ????

    Hello,

It seems that you are changing the canonical on multiple posts and that’s why some of them are not showing in the sitemap as we only add the ones with the default canonical.

As for the number not matching your settings, the sitemap index generates the sub-sitemaps based on the total number of posts, and as such our plugin generates the post sitemaps from the total number of URLs in the sitemap settings.

After that, the actual post sitemap parser goes through the URLs allocated to the post sitemap and removes the ones with the different canonical from it resulting in a lower number than the URLs initially loaded by the main parser.

All this happens on the fly and that’s why you see the number of URLs in the actual sitemaps lower than the values you have in the settings.

Hope this helps clarify your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

ok so then how to i create multiple posts and index all

    Hello,

If you want all your posts to show in the sitemap you need to let Rank Math generate the canonical and remove the custom canonical from all your posts.

After that, they will all be included in the sitemap and Google will be able to crawl them and decide whether or not to index them.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.
