Sitemap not working properly. How to fix?

    Can you please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you?

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    3. If the above steps don’t seem to work, kindly apply the following filter to your site.

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

    I have just tried to do all you adviced, but i still cannot see the sitemap when i visit my url: https://friluftsmagasinet.dk/sitemap_index.xml

    Hi,

    So i just tried to install + activate health check. I went into troubleshooting mode –> then i activated RankMath only (and default twenty twenty-three theme). I then tried to access https://friluftsmagasinet.dk/sitemap_index.xml but it was still blank. Please help me out here.

    I can see on your support forum that many people experience the same issue as me. Are you sure it’s not something wrong on your end?

    Upon checking your sitemap in the Firefox browser, this is the error in your /main-sitemap.xsl

    sitemap

    This could be caused by conflicting plugins/theme on your site.

    However, since you have already tried Rank Math and a default theme, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    We’ve checked your friluftsmagasinet.dk website and we can see the sitemap of this website is working properly:

    Regarding the gamingmagasinet.dk website’s sitemap, it is still showing a blank page. After further troubleshooting, we found that the plugin Hastighedsoptimering af Kim Tetzlaff you’re using on your website is conflicting with Rank Math and that’s why the sitemap is not working properly. When we disabled this plugin with the Health Check plugin, your sitemap was working properly:

    In this case, we suggest you get in touch with this plugin support and inform them about this issue.

    That is true – it works. However. It does not work on the site i send in the updated sensitive data.

    The issue here is that your sitemap is currently heavily cached. We went ahead and flushed the sitemap cashed and added the Litespeed exclusion settings. The sitemap is now loaded but it is currently blank.

    Can you please confirm if you are using Nginx for your website? If you are, please try applying this Nginx code to your site: https://rankmath.com/kb/xml-sitemaps-nginx/

    You may ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

    If the issue persists, please include your website’s FTP login so we can debug this further.

    How can i know if i use nginx? My sitemap is still blank…

    You may get in touch with your web host to confirm if your website’s running on a Nginx server.

    I just talked to my host. They use litespeed. What to do then?

    Sorry for the confusion. The issue was occurring because of some Unicode characters on your database entries. However, we’ve fixed them from your wp_option table and now the sitemap is working properly without any issues. Please check the screenshot in the sensitive data section for your reference.
