Hi,
My sitemap does not seem to be showing the latest posts anymore. This is my website: https://www.ithinkdiff.com/ and this is the sitemap address: https://www.ithinkdiff.com/sitemap_index.xml
Almost all the 5-6 recent posts are missing from the sitemap.
I’ve tried:
– Saving permalinks again
– Saving sitemap page in Rankmath again
– Cleared cache
– Cleared CDN cacheNothing seems to be helping.
Can you please help fix this?

Hi Imran,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
Please share the URLs that are not showing up in the Sitemap so we can check.
Hi Todd,
Somehow the sitemap is updating fine now, based on a post I just published. Before that, posts from over a week were not showing in the sitemap file. I’ll update this post once if I can recreate the issue again.
Hello,
Perfect, we will be here to help you in case you face that issue again.
Looking forward to help you.
Hi guys,
I don’t understand how you guys consider this normal.. last fresh article posted is in the first sitemap (/post-sitemap1.xml which is full, 200 urls) and old, very first article is in the last sitemap (/post-sitemap20.xml which continue to grow).
My opinion is that the fresh post need to be in /post-sitemap20.xml.
Ascending-Descending vice versa.Sorry edited wrong reply!

Hello,
I am not sure why would be it better, could you help us to understand your reasons?
I think the latest post should be in post-sitemap1 since old posts are moved to other sitemaps, so when Google starts crawling the sitemaps and starts in the post-sitemap1.xml, it will found first the latest post instead of having to crawl every sitemap until the last one to find the latest posts.
Looking forward to help you.
Hi,
As I know, google will crawl last modified sitemap first.
Whatever, option in the setting plugin to use what method user want
will be welcomed especially for yoast migrators with lots of sitemaps in index, as yoast use ascending method to generate sitemaps and inside sitemap descending for urls, last modified is first. You’ll better understand if you take database structure: site.com/?p=1, site.com/?p=2..

Hello,
I see. Well, I will share your suggestion with the dev team and hopefully, they will add that option in a future update.
Looking forward to help you.
So I clicked save on permalinks page, and then on sitemap settings in Rank Math plugin, and it seemed to refresh the sitemap. But the issue is still there. The latest iMac post I published today is not in the sitemap. https://www.ithinkdiff.com/imac-2020-t2-chip-amd-navi-gpu/
This is causing slow Google indexing for my website and hurting traffic on new content..
Hi Imran,
It is included in the Sitemap:
I am not seeing the issue.
It took more than a day, and a few newer posts for this to show up.
There is an actual bug with the sitemap in this plugin.
Hi Imran,
You can disable the built in cache of the sitemaps if you want:
https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#enable-disable-sitemap-cacheThat will make the posts appear in the real time but that will also increase load on your server, especially if you have 100s of posts.
Hi todd, the sitemap is not working properly for my site as well. It’s not updating new posts
https://www.finestinfo.com/post-sitemap.xml
last update is shows is of June 4 but after than, 5-6 new articles have been published. I tried every possible solution being told in this forum, nothing worked.
I tried above solution to disable cache, it might have rebuilt the sitemap as some dates have changed but new posts are still missing.
Moreover, I tried deactivating/reactivating – cache plugin, sitemap module or rankmath; saved permalinks again, purge all cache, purge cloudflare cache.Pls check.
For now, I’ve reverted back to an old plugin, until this bug is actually fixed in RankMath. I would rather not implement a workaround which increases server load just to update the sitemap in a timely manner.
Once the bug is fixed, I’d be happy to re-enable the sitemap feature in RankMath again.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
@SP SEO,I replied on your ticket and your issue was resolved after clearing cache and disabling then enabling each of the sitemaps(page/post/taxonomies).
@Imran Hussain We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
