Sitemap Not Found in Search Console

    I am not sure what is the reason but surely I have seen that under Google Search Console – Sitemaps many times that it was unable to fetch the Sitemap at a specific date and time with “Couldn’t Fetch” error. When we click on Open Sitemap link to further investigate the matter from Search Console like clicking on example.com/sitemap_index.xml then it comes up with “URL Not Found error” even the Sitemap Settings in RankMath are Enabled and are not changed.

    Then if you goto Rank Math – Sitemap Settings and just click the Save button then sitemap_index.xml again starts working. Maybe that happens if we clear the Cache. I thought just to let you know. Maybe that could be only with me or other users might be suffering.

    Adding to that I am using WP-Rocket (Default Optimization Settings) with Cloudflare Add-On. Maybe they are clashing with it when I clear the Cache through WP-Rocket.

    If you are using WP-Rocket for cache, then you should add the following cache exceptions:

    /(.*)sitemap(.*).xml
/(.*)sitemap.xsl
