Sitemap mistake

    Hi, I have tried to add a sitemap to google search console from a CPT UI created posts “folder”. But I receive the message “one mistake”. When I click it mentions: “sitemap can be read but has mistakes” followed by “sitemap is HTML”. It asks to provide supportin sitemap index. Do not know what to do. I have added the screenshots but they are in Dutch.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Make sure to just add the sitemap_index.xml sitemap to GSC, not any other. About the HTML issue, are you using any cache plugin? If yes, please add the following caching exceptions to it:

    /(.*)sitemap(.*).xml
    /(.*)sitemap.xsl
