Sitemap link throwing 404 error

    Hello,

    I don’t know where’s the issue is origination from. My sitemap URLs is throwing 404 Error. I got this information when I checked the ‘Sitemap’ section of Google Search Console where it shows an error.

    I got a temporary solution from RankMath blog that all I have to do is go to setting > Permalinks > click on Save changes (without doing anything on the page).

    But, I can’t keep on doing this as I never know when the sitemap is showing 404 error and when it is working fine.

    Due to this issue, my website performance decreases as google is getting 404 error when crawling the sitemap.

    I’m facing this issue since I have migrated to RankMath from Yoast. Please provide me any permanent solution.

    It is likely that your server is caching your sitemap file. Please check if this is the case and exclude the sitemap index file from the caching rules.
