Sitemap Index 404 Error

    There appears to be an issue with my sitemap (sitemap_index.xml) as it consistently generates a 404 page. I have tried disabling all other plugins, flushing cache, saving permalinks, etc. Based on the number of issues other people are having, this seems like a Rank Math issue.

    What can I do to fix this issue?

    It is also worth noting that I switched from Yoast to Rank Math. I’ve seen other people mention the same while also having sitemap issues. Could there be an issue with Yoast persisting a sitemap and/or other data somehow?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    I was able to check your site, you seem to have Rank math sitemap module disabled. Please head over to Rank math > Dashboard and enable the sitemap module then add your sitemaps to be excluded from caching. That should fix your issue.
