Sitemap including an irrelevant URL with the noindex tag…

    Hello,

    My sitemap: kicover.com/sitemap.xml is including this url: MOVED TO SENSITIVE DATA SECTION
    If you check this page, you will see the tag NOINDEX. Why is the sitemap taking into account this irrelevant url?

    I used the noindex tag set by the rank math plugin. You can see the page source and will see that the no-index tag is set correctly.

    I would like to know how to update the sitemap correctly because it is adding irrelevant urls and google is indexing them…

    Could you please excude your sitemap URLs from being cached on your site and clear all cache then do the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

    That should fix the issue.

    If it doesn’t, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
