Sitemap generated through Rank Math not updated for 4+ months - Support

Hi,

since October 2020, my sitemaps have not been updating. WordPress and my plug-ins are all updated with latest versions. I’ve tried the tricks suggested (e.g. save permalinks in setting, disable sitemap in Rankmath then enable, add code to W3 Total Cache).

I know there is a plug-in called XML Sitemap Generator but would rather not install another plug-in as I’ve been happy with Rank Math.

Any ideas?

Can you please share your sitemap’s URL so we can take a closer look at it? You may insert this information in the Sensitive Data section.

Also, flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

Do you also have a hosting caching app such as Cloudflare? If you do, please clear the cache and see if the issue persists.

Our cache is W3 Total Cache but I’m tempted to remove it as I’m not sure it really helps! 🙂 I did add those exceptions to W3 Total Cache that you recommended on another support page and I’ve also flushed the sitemaps.

Hello,

Thank you for providing the additional detail.

I’ve checked your sitemap and it seems to be heavily cached by your host/server. You may need to check with them and possibly ask them to add the sitemap file to the no-cache list.

I’ve attached the screenshot in the sensitive data section.

hi again, I don’t have an option to change the number of links per sitemap from 200 to 201 either?

You can actually change it under Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General and find the “Links Per Sitemap” setting. Is it not working on your end?

If the issue persists on your end, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
