This error suggests that there must be some white spaces before the XML Sitemap’s source code.
This might be added by a blank line/space in your wp-config.php file or your theme’s functions.php file. If there is no such blank space in your wp-config.php or functions.php file, check for a plugin conflict using this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts
Also, make sure your cache is disabled as it is highly likely that the cache is interfering with the working of Sitemap functionality of Rank Math.

Thank you for your quick reply.
There seems to be no Sitemap xml code in the wp config file or functions php file (I have attached some pictures above).
All of the caching settings were done beforehand and no conflicts were visibile with the theme or plugins (I use another website setup with the exact same theme and plugins with Rankmath and it works just fine)

I’ve checked your sitemap, and it seems that it is already working fine. You can also test your sitemap using this tool to check.
In this case, please remove all your sitemaps submitted in your Google Search Console and resubmit your main sitemap only https://www.englishhairdresserinfrance.com/sitemap_index.xml
Then give Google some time to recrawl your website. Your main sitemap will be used as well to crawl your other sitemaps.

I actually managed to get it to work. It was the theme causing the issue. I deleted the theme, redownloaded the latest version, deleted the cache and it solved the problem
