Sitemap does not include all / correct urls

  • Hi, I noticed the sitemap took a while for google to say success. upon reviewing I saw that it said 3 were indexed and included in sitemap and approx 5 were index but not in sitemap, so when i looked, I saw that the sitemap has the wrong urls. Why is this? Why is the sitemap not showing the correct live urls that are on my pages. How can this be updated.

    Thanks for the follow up.

    I would suggest you begin by checking the robots meta assigned to your pages and check whether any of the affected pages has been erroneously set to no index.
    You can also check whether the right sitemap has been submitted to your Google search console. The Rank Math sitemap will be located on domain.com/sitemap_index.xml

    Hi, the pages have index checked not the no index and the robots meta is correct. The correct sitemap is submitted.
    8 urls were found, 3 are indexed and submitted and 5 were excluded and those 5 are the wrong urls
