Sitemap could not be read

I checked and validated your sitemap and it seems to be fine from my end.

Rank Math is outputting your sitemap correctly, please attempt to resubmit your sitemap on Google and if the issue persists then the error must be coming from Google. You can try to use a 3rd party sitemap plugin to confirm. Just make sure you have disabled the Sitemap module of Rank Math in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard when using a 3rd party sitemap plugin.

If the other plugin works, please do let us know.

Assuming Google’s unable to fetch the Sitemap is a bug on their end. Please read here

It’s happening with other SEO plugins as well.

The most prominent reason behind that seems to be the introduction of the Indexing API

Google has plans to drop the use of Sitemaps and allow indexing API.

With that said, if your Sitemap is opening fine and online tools, such as the below one, shows no error, you should be fine
https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html

Please note you should always submit only the index of the Sitemap, which looks like this
https://rankmath.com/sitemap_index.xml
