Hi Soubhik,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
I am not sure how you are checking but it seems to be working fine:
Any individual sitemap where you are facing this issue?
I can access the link sometimes, and other times I get a 404 error not found – for the same link.
Hello,
I was able to reproduce the error on your website but since you say you disabled all the plugins and the error still happened, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi Soubhik,
After trying multiple times, I couldn’t see a 404 on your sitemaps.
Please note that if you are making substantial changes to your permalinks by installing multiple plugins or changing permalinks or frequently changing the settings in your W3 Total Cache plugin – you might need to flush permalinks after major changes.
You can do that by going to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks.
Hit the save button once without changing anything.
If this happens even when you don’t make any changes on your website, please talk to your web host and make sure the .htaccess file isn’t set to reset after certain intervals.
I wouldn’t find any issues with your Rank Math installation.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thanks, I think it might have been because of the W3 Total Cache plugin I used. Not sure, but I replaced that, and am not seeing the error since the last day too. Let’s hope it’s good now ๐ Thanks for the help!
Umm no, same issue again ๐ Please check. https://ibb.co/GCqr7L3
It’s like it shows 404 errors, and then have to tinker around with the link a bit, and then the sitemap shows up. SEMrush isn’t indexing with the sitemap too.
And even in SEMRush, it says all the 24 links in the sitemap are 404 when it’s trying to crawl. ๐
Hi Soubhik,
Could you please do the following:
1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hit the save button once.
2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings
hit the save button once.
That should fix the issue.
If it doesnโt, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
